Bow-Allum Place, meaning 'pelican' in Fraser Island Aboriginal dialect, consists of two spacious, 3 bedroom units (in a duplex setting), which are located close to the beach and services at Eurong Beach Village. As the owners of the units, we can offer you the best possible deal, and having lived on the island for many years, you can benefit from our extensive local knowledge, so you can have an enjoyable, hassle free stay.
Bow-Allum's units sleep up to 10 people each and are available all year round.

Pricing is affordable, and negotiable, and is calculated on the number of people (including children) staying. Everything is supplied, except you need to bring your own linen, personal items, toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, matches, garbage bags, food and drinks. Also bring a torch.

Fraser Island has plenty of services to make your stay comfortable, and most are available in Eurong, close to Bow-Allum Place.
Convenience stores, fuel, gas and ice are available at Kingfisher Bay, Eurong Beach, Happy Valley, Cathedral Beach and Orchid Beach. Public telephones are available at all major campgrounds and at Kingfisher Bay, Eurong Beach Happy Valley and Cathedral Beach. A taxi service is available on the Island.
There is no pharmacy or resident doctor on the island. All visitors are encouraged to bring adequate supplies of first aid materials and prescription drugs. During Queensland school holidays and ambulance station is staffed at Happy Valley. In an emergency, a helicopter rescue service is arranged through Queensland Emergency Service by dialing 000.
Normal road rules apply to driving on the island. The local police do patrol the beaches and tracks all over the island. There are speed limits to observe as well and these are for your safety as well as others.
NOTE: Visitors bringing a vehicle on to Fraser Island must obtain a vehicle access permit before arriving on Fraser Island and must be obtained in advance from a Permit Issuing Office or online through the Queensland Parks & Wildlife Service website.
Barges operate daily from both River Heads, near Hervey Bay and from Inskip Point, near Rainbow Beach.
